FAQ — General Questions
Can we add suppliers that we want?
Yes, if the standards apply. Virtually everyone in the process is a customer and a supplier. Customers may add their suppliers to the AuditOne platform and program.
Why are certain standards requested and others are not?
The concept was to harmonize on one standard simplifying the process for all involved – one quality system for all participating customers.
What is the difference between this and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative)? Do we have to go through an AuditOne audit even if we are GFSI certified?
AuditOne is currently a non-food quality compliance program – it is different than the Global Food Safety Initiative.
How is AuditOne beneficial for procurement?
Procurement can track supplier compliance and source potential new suppliers who are already qualified via AuditOne.
What is the cost?
There is no cost to join the AuditOne platform for any organization.
How will we have access to the complete list of participating companies?
The list of AuditOne participating brand owners can be found here (link)
The list of organizations registered for AuditOne will be available on the www. auditoneglobal.com website by August 1, 2017.
Is AuditOne affiliated with RX-360?
RX360 is not affiliated with AuditOne.
RX 360 asked suppliers that were part of the program to participate in groups that focused on improving categories. For example, a packaging supplier group to enhance packaging materials audits. Will AuditOne have this?
Absolutely, we would appreciate the participation of anyone interested helping the development of the program.
Not the best approach to a customer telling them that here is my audit- take it or leave it…….?
There should always be a discussion between the supplier and customer. We believe that suppliers can introduce AuditOne to other brand owners and expand the value for you. We believe it is a transformational program that is beneficial to everyone in the industry.
Who is required to pay the membership fees listed on the website?
There is no fee, that would have been part of the old program.
AuditOne appears to focus on c-GMP, does it apply to non-GMP facilities?
The AuditOne Global program today is focused upon cGMP compliance. However, we are considering to opening AuditOne to more types of Audits (Health & Safety, etc.)
What is the cost of participation?
While there is no cost to join the platform, the supplier funds the audit cost. By eliminating redundant audits from many customers, the savings will fund the audit and allow re-deployment of resources to continuous improvement or other priorities.
Today our suppliers are not paying for an audit. Now they have to. How many audit requests per year do you think they need to have for this to be worth for them?
Based upon the data we collected from suppliers for hosting a cGMP customer led audit the all-in cost was $4000 on the average – the cost for an AuditOne cost is in the $2500 to $5000 range – elimination of two annual audits provides close to break even.
Is the standard suitable for food as well as for cosmetics?
There is another project being led by AuditOne called Project Linkage – this initiative is examining food audit harmonization.
Is this a global initiative?
At present our brand owners are treating this as a global initiative.
